Getting the most out of working with me
Let’s talk how you get the most out of hiring me to design and plan your home. Because I know it's an investment and I want you to be ready for the process.
Reach out to me EARLY. Like… before you even sign with a builder early. We may not start designing right away, but we can start talking about needs and next best steps.
When we work together from the very beginning of crafting your dream home:
We design your home around you (not around a pre-set plan)
We have the time to really think through layout, natural light, views, and daily routines
You walk into builder meetings feeling clear and confident about what you want - which means money AND time saved
And the biggest thing you need to hear that's even more important than starting early?
Be honest with me.
Tell me what you hate about your current house.
Tell me your “this might be silly but…” ideas. There is no judgement from my end because I deeply want your home to feel perfect for you from the moment you move in. And a so-called “silly” idea may make all the difference!
Tell me the non-negotiables and the "in my wildest dreams" thoughts.
There are no secrets in designing and building homes and I want to know all your true thoughts. Afterall, it's your home. Not mine, not your nosy neighbor's, not the family member's who built 10 years ago. Read that again… I’ll wait.
The process
To make sure you wrap up our project with nothing but excitement about moving into your new home, my process involves collaboration at every step. We start with the big picture (how you want to live), move into layout and flow, then refine every little detail so everything feels cohesive - not like a standard plan you could find anywhere.
And…
If a brand new custom build isn’t in the cards right now?
Or you’ve already started with a builder and suddenly feel in over your head?
You’re not too late. I can step in to help you clarify decisions, refine layouts, create renderings, or help you feel confident about your selections.
Wherever you are in the process, I’m here to make it feel thoughtful, clear, and actually enjoyable.
